John-I don't make it down to North Carolina that much (I've only been through the state once in fact) but I definitely need to make it down into the US more for sessions. There's so much happening down there that I'd love to catch some folk sessions. There's a lot that's happening in this regard north of the border (just in the last ten years or so) but there's such an established tradition in the States that I need to get down there. I'm just afraid that if I make the leap, before I know it, I'll end up like Kerouac, on the hood of my car, somewhere in Mexico strung out on peyote. It's the natural temptation of any 21st century folk-singer.
