Next of course, would be to place the headstock on a 53 degree angle at the end of a french curved neck & place the pickups on the back of the "guitar".

Maybe if someone teaches him how to use Photoshop he won't mangle guitars.
At least he stays away from Ricks.

I'm surprised that nobody but Dane--who'll take on ANYBODY--came after me for this...

It was meant as tongue-in-cheek, but I really expected some literal liberal to nail me on it.

Thank God for hillbillies and their music and sounds!

Where would we be if not for the country/western boomlet of the early '50s? Leo Fender would be an unknown radio repairman and PA system rental agent. The entire Gretsch legacy would be small if not stillborn. Elvis would be a retired Teamster instead of a retreaded Teamster and erstwhile Saint to Millions.

Paul Bigsby was a High Desert Okie, just like our buddy MVP...

But, you know what?

Hillbillies don't know from Ricks!

(I'm a big fan of Wayne Hancock, BTW. And country-western has been neither since about 1960, except for people like Wayne and Big Sandy...) They play Gretsches and Gibbies, though.

Anybody know (or ARE) hillbillies who play Ricks (not lap steels)?

I can swing with some of it, but to this day that stupid song about catching the horse drives me nuts...especially the little psych-o-billy narration bit in the middle. And let's not even get into the "She'll be just like a wife" line...what an insult to women and horses alike...
