Kendall's was not real. Remember? He had a bass painted up to look like one. I think he eventually let it go on eBay.

hello all...im the very proud player of a 4002...mines fretless ordered it in 82....havent done a thing to her....i raise the nut on my basses to get a better stiffer attack for muting and vibrato...i only play fretlesses...and mainlee just this one...shes a lil well worn..but stretch marks dont marr her beauty...lol..

Welcome to the forum Blair....

I've been watching Blair play that bass since the early 80's. I just thought of it as Blair's....not as something all that rare. Hell , I saw it all the time.It seemed pretty common.

I might add he's one heck of a bassplayer....

Blair, welcome. I have a 73 fretless that I'm into too. However, a 4002 fretless is just too cooool....

Blaire, I hope someday I can get publishable photos of your fretless 4002. I'm preparing a book on Rick basses and photographing (or collecting photos) of every one I can find. Your's may be unique and has a place in the book. Keep me in mind.
