Personally I prefer the second Blueburst myself, the first one is too BLUE! The second shows a definite colour transition which to me is preferable.

It is interesting how pictures can give a totally different visual impression to the viewer, but if the pictures were a true representation of the finish, I'll take the second one thankyou, please send to Melb Australia! LOL (absolutely no hope)

I don't think either of them have it right, at least on my monitor. It's somewhere in between in actuality.

I actually like the 360 better as well - sort of like a blue Fireglo.

Hey Curmudge, did that needed part come in from RIC yet? Just curious....

I feel kind of like that annoying kid in the backseat: "Are we there yet?" Image

I know it's your guitar Melissa, but boy the suspence is killing me!! Cmon Paul put us out of our misery! Just a teaser would be fine.

How are you coping, Melissa? By now I think I'd be so excited I would have trouble sleeping at night

Nah, I never have trouble sleeping--I stay up too late, LOL!

I'm not at home; I'm on a working vacation, so coping is not too bad, actually.... We are staying at the home of one of my husband's business contacts, and I am doing some rather tedious work for him; but I've got my laptop right beside me with my favorite radio station on streaming audio and pictures of the work in progress to motivate and inspire me (yeah, you WILL get to see it soon!).... The food, wine, and company have been just great! Still missing my guitar, though.... Normally I cope with life and waiting by playing and writing songs.....

Is it bare yet?
Is it rare yet?
Does it flare yet?

Today I did a bit of touchup on it, seeking perfection and my Zen Ideal...It is 90% buffed out, the guards are made, and I'm just waiting for the elusive piece from RIC so that I can complete the assembly.

Tomorrow I'll buff the rest and begin assembly.

Here's a shot I took last Friday, right after it was clearcoated, but before buffing.

So sorry, my camera must've malfunctioned. It only took black and white...let me see if I can fix it...

Well, it must be the color that I painted it, because this shot only has the background--my spray booth--and the fretboard in color...the body's still in black and white for some odd reason...

Oh, well, guess we'll have to wait until I can either change the ghostly color or fix my digital Sony...

Dang!!!

Nice guess, Melissa, but, unfortunately, you do not win the door prize...

And, per our agreement (read the fine print in paragraph 126), I get to keep your guitar.

Now, let's see if you can guess the 481's color...

(Rubs his hands together in glee...)
