"Here's a hint: Slick was playing the guitar in question, not Kantner."
For those who do not know, "Slick" refers to Mark Aguilar (and not to Grace Slick). Aguilar came into the Starship by way of playing in Marty Balin's band and then the KBC Band (Kantner-Balin-Casady).

Unfortunately Slick is one of those guys who refuses to have a web site or to talk about his gear.
But as Holmes said, "The game's a foot Watson...!"

Hey, Clive. Although factual, my "correction" was meant as pedantic tongue-in-cheek harassment.
Mark, the game is actually "afoot".
If it was "a foot" it couldn't be "a guitar", now, could it?

Eric, I'm guessing your use of the word 'solid' would imply a solid finish?
Although I just can't get anything from your previous clue... "I love this thread..The creativity here is impressive."
Or should it have said "I love this red"?. A solid red perhaps? But if the finish was discovered 'by mistake', then maybe someone was going for a fireglo finish and ended up with a solid transparent red?
Hmmm...

"this sucks"... Sorry, but I'm in a "quote" frame of mind today...
C'mon, you guys wouldn't leave us bass players out in the cold on this one, would you?

Hey, Mark:
Re-read my post where I talk about "pedantic harassment".
It was my own weird humor. Nothing personal...
Thanks for lettingmytyposslip. I usually catch 'em, xceptwhen I'm in a hgury.
It'll get you to your 360 post earlier.
