I got my copy in the mail yesterday! My only complaint is that I fell asleep reading it on the hardwood living room floor with the lights on. When I woke up around 1:30am, I saw the book next to me and started reading again, and then fell back asleep on the floor. My girlfriend brought me a pillow and blanket at about 3:30, but I just used the pillow to prop up the book so I could read, and then fell asleep again.

No self control.

After reading the chapter on microphones, I noticed that the microphones used in the roof top concert in Let it Be were not mentioned. What were these microphones?

Ethan - that is funny!

One of the former Abbey Road engineers said he got the book and began reading it in the hallway near the mailbox. An hour and a half later, his wife came and said "Don't you want to go and SIT DOWN somewhere?!"

As the unusual 'Let It Be' mics are only used for a very short period, we give them proportionally shorter coverage in the book. You may have SEEN them a lot in the film - but it's only a few weeks of their entire career. This is similar to the other studios - the Beatles spent little time there, so we also gave them proportional space in the book.
