You'll probably be happier with the finish than you imagine at the moment.
At any rate, having a Rick of any color is a great thing.
Enjoy!
I've picked up some of the guitar terminology, so I think that would be a 370, having three pups.

Hi Matt,
I'll get the UJ off to you as soon as I get home, as Kevin says you might be surprised about the finish, it was done to a very high standard.

In the meantime here's a pic, let me know if you'd like me to take more before I ship it to you.Image

It'll certainly be an attention getter!
It does look very nicely done.
It may also be a real chick magnet!

it's not that I don't like the finish...I actually do like it...it's funky and different just like me; crazy heavy metal headbangers might not be so open minded but I figure my chops are good enough to command some respect so it should all work out. I'm am very very excited about getting this bass...especially since it has a toaster in the neck...I think I'm really gonna like it, it should be good for blues. My RAS had gotten so bad that I actually had a dream about playing a rick...and I remember it vividly...it was an azurglo and it played like a dream(no pun intended)...I hope this one plays just as good (I'm sure it will). Hopefully I won't get any RAS for awhile.

Speaking of the UJ, has anyone heard from Jaymi?

Jim, you know that they say that memory is the second thing to go as one gets older (we all forget what the first thing to go is ...) ... I guess you don't remember showing it to me when I dropped off your other lovelies at your office after the confluence.

Gary .... you're right, I recall now.

Joey,
I sent Jaymi an email a few weeks ago asking how things were and he seemed to be ok.

Matt,
I play blues, and my Rics all sound lovely, not too many Blues players use them, but to me their sound is like choirs of Angels .....

About RAS, either you have it, or you'll get it soon. It doesn't actually go away, just subsides to a tolerable level. The presence of money in one's bank account inflames RAS quickly.
No one has yet said " I have enough now, I don't want any more".
It may be rare & unobtainable, or just an uncommon finish, but there's always another you want.

I managed to avoid (deny) RAS for a long time, 96-2002, but now that I've fully embraced my long suppressed RAS I'm enjoying every minute of it ....!!

Long as they're Fireglo !!!

haha nice one Jared

it's mid-term time right now so hopefully the wait won't seem that long. I hate to think what would happen if the bass arrives before mid-terms are done...I've been known to go on 12 hour bass playing binges and that was with my ****** bass...when the rick gets here I probably won't even be able too sleep. Luckily after mid-terms are done we get a whole week off so I'll have plenty of time to enjoy the rick.
