Considering his net worth, 235 million is a worthwhile deal. Pay the monster and move on. The obscene figure is the price of doing business when wealthy people divorce, and it beats losing half or more than half of what you own...which is what generally happens to the rest of us. The moment an older celebrity marries a younger lover, especially without a prenuptual, you have to believe they've already kissed that money goodbye, at least in theory. I'm sure Paul would strongly disagree, but at those elevations all that money is really just a matter of random numbers, and when it's all over, Paul will be rich beyond the wildest dreams of his childhood. Give her the pieces of silver and say, "Get thee behind me, Devil."
Or, as John urged the executives who were balking at the millions on the table to sign Harry Nilsson, "Pay the two bucks."

I hope part of the deal is that she can't use the McCartney name, can't write or talk about him, and will basically act as if none of this ever happened.

I would pay lots of lawyers, wacko's, gang bangers, and Pee Wee Herman 500 million to deliver her raspberries before I would give her a penny.
What, me bitter? Naa, just sensitive.

We always hear one side of the story. Maybe Paul isn't the best husband/person that he wants everyone to believe.

Well Brian, lets just say its a picture of Heather with another man. They have discovered an interesting way to eat dessert.

Check this out. Mill's Ex comes to Paul's defense:

This is from October 29th, but I didn't recall the quotes.

I'm not surprised at all. As far as I'm concerned she dosen't deserve one miserable dime from Paul. The money she gets ought to go into a trust fund for Beatrice only. Let Heather fend for her sorry self! Just my two cents worth.

Have anybody read Heather's biography (in co. with Pamela Cockerill: A Single Step (2002))? I've bought a Swedish translation, but haven't come to read it yet. But think I will, soon.

This morning on the local CBS radio affiliate, they reported (denied by Heather's peeps) that a settlement had been reached between Macca and Mills.
They stated she would get between $62 and $80 million in cash and properties.
It was stated at the end of the story that if the settlement was indeed 80 mil, that would equal $2500 per each hour they were married.
2500 bucks an hour. Now why would they mention that?

This site apparently has an update each day on the saga:
http://www.maccareport.com/
The hourly rate reference apparently refers to stories of Mills being a high price call girl in the early 90's (reported by the above site last June). Not sure how true that is, but Heather Mills certainly appears live from one crisis to another, and anyone with her is along for quite a ride and it isn't always going to be fun.

Didn't stick---anyway, it's a People Magazine article about her denying that she and Paul have settled on a number. $63 million dollars isn't enough to make her go away.
