I'm well late here too...
It's been a pleasure to read Paul's many posts over the last couple of years. His contribution of knowledge and humour, always presented with that wonderful vernacular has been one of the prime factors in why this forum has not lost steam.
Long may it continue!

Oh man, here is a partial list.
My FIRST car was a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado as was my 2nd, 3rd, 5th & 23rd! Yeah, I liked them A LOT.
NOT in order, I had a 1868 Toronado
1965 Starfire
1956 Chevy Nomad NOT ROD 396 CI, Muncie M-22 W/4:56 rear.
1968 Firebird Conv.
1932 Chevy Business Coupe (I think that's what it was)!
1963 Buick Riveria
1973 Ford Torino
1963 Skylark Conv.
1968 Impala
And who remembers what else. Most of these I restored WAY back when.
I also had a few WINNERS as well.
I too had a PINTO, a Cosworth Vega as well as a sedan and a Vega wagon. Don't ask me why...
A Mercury Capri. The ODDEST thing I owned was an International Scout. I LOVED IT but the rust was SO bad, you could see RIGHT through it!
Now I have to go and look for some pictures.....

Yeah John, I was 16yrs. old and Judy Shockley was a Babe. Good for me she didn't get PG. She left High School before her Senior years and had 6 kids before she was 25. I love children but not that much. We stopped at 2, 1 girl/1 boy. 1 car I did forget to mention was a 1954 Mercury Monterey, I bought this for my wife in 1978 as a birthday present from the original owner in Pasadena Calif. It was her husbands car and when he passed away she couldn't see having it in the garage any longer. It had 62K miles on it and was like almost new.

DOH! I too love kids but wow... We stopped at two daughters but life had another idea and I also got a son - he is twice the man I am in all the ways that are important. I respect him immensely.
I'll bet that '54 Merc was a peach! I always wanted the 1956 grey/white Buick Special the neighbor lady owned but she wouldn't part with it. Lots of chrome and class.

I think the dragster was off the track by the time the Vega crossed the finish line.
John, you're right, "it ain't your mama's Vega", but it was a terrible miss-match.
