Well I'm definitely guilty of being a little obnoxious. I kinda get maybe a little too comfortable here or something...Like I'm hangin' out with my buddies in my basement having a beer and occasionally throw out a little "barb" just for fun. Its always in the name of fun, but I can see how I might cross the line sometimes.

Sorry Harry, I didn't realize that was your bass, I think I got the pics from the Ebay auction, so technically it wasn't your bass then Image.
And for the record, I don't think your bass or my five string experiments look funny, they're just different. But I do recognize that other people don't like the difference and that's ok with me.

Hey Mark, those are definitely my pics - I bought it from Rumble Seat Music, not eBay, and I really recognize it by the telltale shadow at the bottom. I'm not the best photographer around, but I'm still pretty proud of my pictures and my basses. I think maybe I need to come up with some kind of identifying mark to put on my images...

It's all good though - I'm not mad anymore! I still think I'm going to take a break from the forum though. I'll leave you guys with an alternate headstock image:

Thanks for the clarification Harry, perhaps I should review my policy of using other peoples photos. I obviously thought they were of some interest or I wouldn't have copied them. I've used pics that Paul W. has taken and never really thought about whether it was ok or not.

Anyway, I've always thought you were a cool forumite and had some good contributions here.

Anyone can use any pic I post at anytime without permission so long as it is not used to misrepresent something.

Hey, there is a thread on the guitar side about slimmer 60s style headstocks coming out in 2007. Could this mean the end of bulbous headstocks as we know them?

Could be. JH has said that they have two machines cutting the bass necks. One is programmed to cut bulbous/thicker necks and the other is programmed to basically cut the C64 neck/non-bulbous. He said that eventually they'd re-program the bulbous neck-cutter machine so that they all would be like a C64 neck.
