Hey John,
Isn't that a fantastic DVD?
I just purchased it after seeing a clip on Youtube. I watched Ritual. Amazing stuff!

Welcome Chris, it's very cool to see you here for sure. Your participation at the RIC 75th anniversary at the House of Blues and at the museum in Carlsbad made it a memorable weekend for all of us who made the trek.
I can recall how determined we were to get the web address of this Forum to you, we wrote it on a napkin and passed it up to your wife while at the museum..(!)
Whatever the method, we are very glad to see you here, Cheers and welcome.

Very good of you to join the forum, Chris. It means the world to a lot of us. On the other hand, you may come to think the Gates of Delerium opened directly into this site...!
Some very good conversation and info happens here. Hope you find it to be hospitable and worth your while. It is filled with good, honest people.
Thanks for all the beautiful sounds you have unleashed over the years!

Despite the fact that it is now Friday the 13th (Forum Standard Time), let me invite you all (you too, Chris!

) to a brand-new Forum devoted to just what we are doing - talking about Chris Squire! It is up at the top-level of Topics, and is entitled (what else) "Chris Squire and Yes"!!
In addition to Chris himself, the musician, bass player, singer, guitarist, world-famous rock star, and all-around Good Guy, we will be talking all things Yes, as well as all the different groups that have formed around these stars over the years: Chris's early days in The Selfs, The Syn, and Mabel Greer's Toyshop, to the mainstream Yes years, his solo FOOW with Syn alumnus Andrew Jackman (as well as Moraz and Bruford), a brief bit of XYZ, even a bit of Billy Sherwood perhaps, and most recently back with Syn (with Nardelli and White but minus the late Andrew Jackman

)
Interested? Come on over!

Welcome Mr. Squire, it is truly an honor to see your involvement here, but I must warn you, we're a little nutty about all things Rickenbacker, especially on the bass side. Anyway, thanks for all the great rick bass sounds over the years, they have been a great inspiration to many of us who pick up our basses and try to make music with them.
Wow, what a forum, over the last two days, Squire, Dave Meros, and Amy Humphrey have posted. And they're all great players at different levels of the music scene. Can Geddy Lee be too far behind?

I don't post messages here a lot, but I read this thread and well....Welcome to this forum Chris Squire, I'm a long time fan. (And, like many other bassists here at this forum) you are "the" bass player, that influenced me to become a bassist. It's an honor to see you here, and hope you and we all have good discussions here.

Hi Chris, Welcome to the Forum from the Australian chapter. We have a small, but very loyal membership Downunder. It's great to have you on board.
I was wondering if you had framed the poster I signed for you at the Museum of Making Music yet?
(I've gotten so much mileage out of this one photo!!)

Don't worry, mate! You can dead trust me to not ever let anyone know that you were really furiously trying to find a pen that would write, before Chris got impatient and departed without signing your poster. To my dying day, I will never betray that secret to anyone, nope,.....

Actually, Elys, you're completely right up until the part about Chris getting impatient. Despite two sharpies failing when I needed them the most, I finally found a pen, thanks to Jerry Juden, who saved the day.
Chris was extremely patient and graciously signed two posters for me....one of which now hangs framed on Dave Pascoe's wall and the other is at my house.
Of course, I'm still waiting to get my nose back from Chris
