Also not drilled for the thumbrest either. Just like Macca's. Cool... Seems that many of the 4001 basses of the era were sans rest. Yet many of the 1999s had them.

Ric should do a V68 model with the horseshoe, toaster, big pickguard, checkered binding, walnut headwings, clear tug bar, thin neck profile, vintage case, and the push pull circuit ...

Pretty much any 'V' without the shoes I would go for. I had one with shoes and always tried to play it under the shoe, it had to go. That said the tone was to die for. Could that have been the shoe?
