January 25th 1981...
The next year, my brother was born on the 24th of January, and the year after that, my son on the 26th January...
Plenty to be happy about in late Jan...

Got my first around September 1989
360/12v64 Fireglo bought new.
Then came a 325v59 MapleGlo s/h, bought from my uncle in 91. Now sold.
The next one was a Jetglo 330,got that from my cousin, another s/h one ,i think that was 2001.
Also sold.
And the most recent one was a s/h 1999 360v64 6 string in Fireglo, bought that just before Christmas last year.

Welcome to the forum, Higgins! Nice sounding guitars - can you fill me in on what s/h is? That's a new one on me.
Andy - interesting to know that you'd had the white RM for so long. Over 25 years! Very cool.

BTW, with what little spare time that I've had this month, I've been putting together a spread sheet together (just month/year).

First: 1976 4001 MG aquired in June 1978. Most recent: 2006 4003 JG aquired Nov. 06. Between those two, were 2 more 4003's, and 2 620's, and another 4001. Next, and soon I hope, my first 4004Cii in Trans Green. Maybe before years end?

First: 1978 4001 Maplego (had to sell in 1985 for emergency-yet-maddeningly-predictable Fiat repair)
Latest: 1996 620/12 fireglo (lovely, with vintage HSC, purchased in April '07)
In between, '93 360/12 fireglo and '92 350 Liverpool were ripped asunder by divorce-driven financial woes (in addition to a sweet '80 Les Paul and '65 Mustang).
Would love a 350SH at some point, though a 381-6 is more likely.
Here's the 620/12:

Aah... Thanks for the clarity, Higgins. "Second-hand" or what us yanks have called "used" and now more deceptively, "previously owned."

Isn't it now "certified used..."?

Everybody's Rickenbacker is "certified pre-owned".
First it was owned by the factory, then it was owned by the dealer!

I'm a little late here. Got my first MG 4001 in 1974.

Sweet, Mike. Was it made in '74 also?
