+ Redbone's "Tennessee Girl" (1971). Turning it up full blast is guaranteed to chase my blues away - yessiree!

The Fender bass with 18 pickups in it from Redbone sold on ebay a few years ago.

Heh heh. I believe it was a modded early Precision Bass. No? If indeed it was a Telecaster Bass, then certainly the tuners on it were not period-accurate. I have all of Redbone's long-players up to 1973, but only the cover of "The Best Of" displays a couple of shots of the bass.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.
