Peter,
Nice work on databasing the guitars.
However, the lap steel category doesn't work very well in its present form.
A search for lap steel yields only two instruments, but several more can be found by looking for specific models.
Can the registration process be tweaked to allow all lap steels to be searched without looking for the individual models?
Thanks,
Richard

Gary: Welcome.
I fixed your entry and matched it to your user so you could see it under "my records" on the register.
Richard:
What you are asking is possible, this will be the same as asking for a way to search for all bass guitars, I am currently "on hold" with any future developments on the register, I will continue working on the system at the beginning of 2008, your suggestion is in my "todo" list as of now.

Richard: I think if you go to the Advanced Search function in the Register and select the LapSteel feature under Special you may have
more luck. I will fix this confusion today.
Thanks for your comments regarding the Register. This has been a truckload of work and it is good to know that it is appreciated.

Thanks, Ohio. You are soon going to be poised to overtake Texas for third place in the USA Rickenbacker Registration standings.

Gil, I sent you a PM re my registry listings though I'm not sure if it "went". It's in my out box but not in the sent files.
Anyways, if you don't get it could you email me?
Thanks

I got it,
If it is in your "outbox" it means I simply didn't read it yet

Thanks Gil. All done!
The registry is looking great. When I first registered my RM1999 there was no listing so it had to go under the 4001 category so it was just another bass. It's great that all the options and sub categories are there now.
For example the stolen listings now includes my 4003FG....
This is such a cool place!
Thanks to all contributors and editors!

Thanks Gerry and Andy. As you have mentioned it, let's not forget Kendall Jaeger,Tony Cabibe, Kris Lyons, and Joey Vasco, who stepped up when the going was tough. The contribution of Gil Disatnik has, of course, been second to none.
But most of all, without the contributions of all who participated in the Register and on the RickResource Forum, there would be nothing to talk about. A special thanks to one and all of you.

Hi Peter... I know I registered many of my Rickenbackers in the registry as I have acquired them in recent years, but when I search for Minnesota instruments in the database they do not show up....

So I will re-register them all this evening, as I have just taken a complete inventory of all of my music gear today.... Glad to be done with that, as it was a big project!

Sorry--it wasn't intentional!
Actually my total count of Rics is
down by quite a few from last year, since I have sold several in recent months...

Just having a little fun - feeling festive for the holidays. I've got about 10 more hours of work before I'm on vacation till after Christmas. And the kids are all coming home. Always a great time for me.
