I think that you hit it right on the head, Matt. Now, I'm going to go and drink some green beer!lennon211 wrote:I just think that there needs to be a break from threads about what may happen...especially when there is advice requested as it often isn't listened to.

As we say down here - "on ya John!" ("on ya" being a contraction of "good on you", said with emphasis). As father of a brace of very mildly handicapped children (cleft palate and Asperger's syndrome) I greatly admire your fortitude and attitude.johneek wrote:
OK...now to take up Paul's request to brag about kids. I'm proud of all them, from #1 who is finishing the first year of her Residency in General surgery through the youngest one (#6) who has Down Syndrome and severely handicapped. As proud as I am of them all, there are days when one of Jackson's accomplishments gives me more joy than I could possibly imagine. In the world's eyes it would be nothing, but to me, it's as spectacular as anything his older brothers and sisters have ever done.
Sorry about the beer. I was taking a break from writing a Newsletter for the Chess Club at our local primary (elementary) school (headline: Bishop catches Queen in dalliance with Knight!) when this all just gushed out. It only happens a couple of times a year when I forget to take my medication... oops - off to the medicine cabinet for me!bosco64 wrote:Evan, did you used to write for Prisoner: Cell Block H? I could remember my mom watching that EVERY day. You nearly made me spit up my green beer! A liitle dramatic, but I get the point.![]()
