i have been filming long days so did not get a look at this thread until now. i now own the bass and i will tell you guys the whole story when i get a few longer moments. Chris and i discussed the bass while i pursued it and he was very happy that i purchased it. There is a long story between Chris and his ex wife regarding this bass and I was sad to find out that Music Ground played a part in the sale but that is all over now. it is the bass photographed on the Yes album and it is a bass Chris used to record many early Yes tracks including Starship Trooper. It has sat untouched as it was for nearly 30 years

Wow, Vincent. Such history wrapped up in this one bass. How cool is it that it was so much a part of early Yes music. Congrats!

I usually dont care much about the celebrity status of guitars or basses. But I have to admit, it would be awful cool to own the bass that Chris Squire recorded "Starship Trooper" on.
