Thanks for that bit of info :D
I think it looks mighty fine in that dark green colour!

Same to you, buddy! :shock: :mrgreen:

BTW, what does that mean? :lol: :lol: :lol:
veiling = auction & kist = crate
Crates like that were used for dutch agricultural produce - coming from a village I remember them as something from well before I was born - but an item which most farmers and green house owners still had lying around when I was a teen. Nowadays they use rubbish plastic crates :x

As not to derail this thread even further :lol: the following question: did I read the first post of the thread correct: a 6 string version???
Is that still a bass, then? :oops:

Not to be a dummy here,, but was the six string version called a 4005? or did it have its own numeric name? 4005-6 , 4006?

Did I tell you there is one (4005/6) that lives about 5 miles away from my house? A little bit of a darker FG than the one in the photo. He has a dead front p/u and never uses it!! :roll: ugh!

Given the dead pickup, and that it obviously must be unplayable as he doesn't do so, I'll give him $100 and I'll even pick it up. :!:
