veiling = auction & kist = crate
Crates like that were used for dutch agricultural produce - coming from a village I remember them as something from well before I was born - but an item which most farmers and green house owners still had lying around when I was a teen. Nowadays they use rubbish plastic crates :x

Not to be a dummy here,, but was the six string version called a 4005? or did it have its own numeric name? 4005-6 , 4006?

Did I tell you there is one (4005/6) that lives about 5 miles away from my house? A little bit of a darker FG than the one in the photo. He has a dead front p/u and never uses it!! :roll: ugh!
