I've invited Alberto, Greg, and Paul S., but I have not heard back from any of them yet.

I'll keep up with this. I should hear back soon one way or another.

Bummer. Can't make this one. Out of state, again. Have fun, though!

I'll see if anyone from my band can make it. It would be nice to at least have my singer there for a bit. A female vocalist would sound pretty good in some of the songs.

Oh, we had everything set up except we had a chauffeur instead of a rental car ... so, too bad, it's off now!

I just picked up a Lincoln Town Car. Will that work? You can sleep in the guest room. You're on your own for the plane tix though.

Welcome to the forum, Skip. :)
I'd be willing to bet that it will go from 12 to 8 PM as it always has.

Noon to 8:00 PM is what I'm hoping for since I have to schlep from Temecula.
Thanks!

It's booked!! I booked the usual 12p to 8pm, since no one voiced another preference:

12-8pm, with $2 discount per hour, so for 8 hours in the showcase room, $25x8=$200.

Backline Rehearsal Studios
7251 Garden Grove Blvd, Ste H
Garden Grove, CA 92841
(714) 895-7345
backlinerehearsals.com/

We'll most likely take the usual midway pizza break half way through, which is when there's usually a KISS or postpunk Bunnymen/Smiths musical insurgency by the folks who remain in the room...I've been held hostage and forced to play bass a couple of times.

If anyone has ideas for a surf set, we could learn some of those numbers and perhaps I could then persuade John Hall to show up. I hear he likes the surf numbers. It's probably a long shot, but... :D

Wow! Sounds like fun. I'm up for a surf set, especially if it would bring John out. How about Brian Carman-a little Surf connection there? Please tell me we don't have to play Surf on Ricks!
For a function like this, probably best to stick to classics that everyone knows. Since we all play them just like the record, shouldn't be a problem.
Great group-thanks again George!
