Yoink! Thanks for that hi-res, Bert! Love the '72 (I'm guessing) Mapleglo and the Azureglo to the right of it. I'm always a sucker for the CB binding and nicey-nice inlays. I'm curious about the other blue bass with black trim & hardware. That's not another Midnight Blue, but what kind of blue is that? I've got to give props to that gorgeous 4005, too. Is that an Amberglo finish?
I notice that you put some thought into how you arranged these pics, too. You formed a 'W' with all the blue basses, put the Maplegos on the left and the Jetglos on the right and planted the 4005 in the middle. Nice layout.

John Hall stated over on the Rickenbacker.com forum that seven left-handed CWs were produced; three 360 CW LH and four 360/12 CW LH.

Both old 4001's are '73. The MG from January, the AZG is from may. One of them has to go someday as they are comparable. The blue/purplish 4003 FL is MID. I bought it as a Fretless companion to the other 4004 MID/BT, but it turned out a totally different color. The bass has finish and trussrods issues and will eventually be rebuilt into something else. Maybe a (fretted) Shadow alike bass with dark blue instead of black. Maybe a 5 string with a different neck. Maybe ............... whatever is on my mind when I bring it to a luthier. The 4005 is WAL. (there is a lot of info in my signature by the way.

)

Too much credit Mark. This is the 2011 picture minus the 2030 MID and the 3000 MG and plus both 4004's now taking their space.

I did give the layout some thought though. If memory serves me right I wanted the 4001 AZG and the 4005 in the middle and worked from there.

The 4003 MID/BT used to be my favorite, but I only take the 5 string with me to band practice these days. Besided the low B the added advantages of the 4004 like no binding (even less than the 4001S) and being able to mute a lot easier are very welcome also.

Bert, do you have them all out to see, or do they live in their cases, or some combination thereof?

At this moment we are moving the master bedroom to the music room at the loft and vica versa. Most of them are in their cases now. But usually they are all out to see and play. 4 of my basses are on dis-play on wallhangers in the living room. (At this moment 2 of them are Rickenbacker.)
