She held her own and more for the first set and she felt and sounded great!!! Founds out tonight she's a year older than our guitarist!!
Very tired, time for bed!

Ceti Alpha?!?!?!?!?!?!?Kopfjaeger wrote:I am both happy and sad to report that she is leaving me to reside in the collection of a very serious, and famous, vintage Rickenbacker collector that happens to live in an area that starts with a "C" and ends with an "A".
I saw it up on the 'bay. What were the reasons for selling, if you don't mind me asking?Kopfjaeger wrote:Hmm, how do I break the news. OK, here goes. She was only with me for a short time but man what I time it was. On a whim I put her up on ebay and low and behold I was contacted about her availability. After sending additional fotos, a price was negotiated on and I removed her early from the auction. She had a ton of watchers. I realize that only a small handful of people would have been in the market for her and I nearly backed out of the "handshake deal" I had made to sell her.

Well, it was sorta a test to gauge interest. My son has gotten acceptance notices to both the colleges of his choice so a bill will be forthcoming to assure his place in college. This frees up the funds. She's a great bass and I'm glad I got to gig her. i just wish I had fotos of me doing so. The truth is I'm not a collector, I'm a player that happens to like vintage instruments. She was too damn nice to play out and I worried the entire time she was sitting on stage. Is some arseloch going to fall/bump into her or spill a drink on her?? She was wanted by said famous collector and this guy will love her and play her like she needs to be be! The guy is a major player and I'm proud that he will be her new owner. I'll miss her but she's going to be in great hands.henry5 wrote:I saw it up on the 'bay.
