In order to preserve forum decorum and sidestep one of the more embarassing ambiguities created by the gulf between British and American 'English', would it be possible in future to use the word twit?

All in good fun, Scotty...I'm not that easily offended, I can assure you! I just viewed it as a chance to type the phrase "twit for tw*t, which got edited and probably rightly so. (Oooh! Darn it, I typed it again! Thank goodness for *sterisks...)

(You Brits will undoubtedly recall the episode of Fawlty Towers when the typically scrambled letters on the hotel's sign at the opening of the show spelled out "Flowery Tw*ts"...)

Dane and Scotty. I was responsible for the edits, which was in keeping with your own suggestions.

Here's one: Who was pre-arranged as understudy for Eric Clapton at the Concerts for Bangla Desh?

Kieth Moon was at the gig that the Who/High Numbers were playing at and said he could play better than their drummer. He got on the kit and played the life out of it, and smashed it up. He got the gig, and the rest is history.

I'm gonna take a big stab in the dark and edit out my answer before anyone sees how far off the mark I was.

I must've been thinking about the other Concert for Bangladesh.
