I'll cast a vote for the Unclear On The Concept Award:
Q: Just why would you want a doubleneck bass?
A: Because one neck is a 5-string bass, and the other is a 5-string bass.

One is fretted and the other is fretless, makes perfect sense, really.

They both looked fretted to me.
See, I was unclear on the concept.

The upper neck has fret lines, so to the uninitiated it looks fretted.

Well, back from NAMM. Didn't take too many pics, as there was so much da**ed ugliness that I went into <<duh>> mode.
Does anyone have any pics of those Egyptian-themed monstrosities? And that "SOLD" (riiiiight!) white and gold Minarik?
Anyway, scanning Ebay today and came across this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/_W0QQitemZ270202831 ... dZViewItem
This is some overpriced junk, regardless of the quality of the "restoration"...BTW, has anyone ever found any NOS Tolex of this pattern? (And, it wasn't Tolex. It was patterned oilcloth on these...). These sounded awful back in the day and I can't believe that age has done 'em any favors.
Read the clown's copy, too. He speaks of "provenance" as if this is Louis XIV stuff, but can't even spell it. ("We establish provinance by the folling"). Also look at his points. One is labelled "SEVEVTH". Har. Then there's "To SUMMERIZE". (Presumably the opposite of "To WINTERIZE"?)
This kind of s**t on Ebay is a bad reflection on every Ebay member. What a profiteer! Whatta dope! Whatta maroon!

Oh, yeah!
Tropical Moon is one of my faves for brain-warp! Look at their banjo/zither/mando combo for a real hoot.
