John, that is AWESOME!!!

John's 4005 is the darkest example of Azureglo I've seen. It looks Jetglo in some photos. I thought it might have been a refin, but I asked John Hall at the initial SoCalCon back in '05 about the color, and he said that sometimes Azureglo was dark like this one. OK.

I'll give you a hard time Paul: I think you asked him right after you asked me. I guess I don't have that trustworthy look.

I was a little surprised when I opened the case the first time, after thinking I was buying this:


I've never had big a problem capturing the color, no more than any dark color anyhow, and I think it only looks black when people see photos of it in isolation (or when its shot in bad light, or with a bad camera, or both!) - I think the mind wants it to be black because that's what you'd expect a dark color to be. Here's another photo, the Azure one is the one that isn't black (its blue), and the Jetglo one is the one that is black.

Wow, really classy!

Or for easier identification in the photos, the Azureglo bass has toasters.

OK, we've reached the end of our "Color of the Week" journey. This next week is "Wild Card" time. This is where the custom painted Ricks come in. You know, the Minks, the Scarabs, the Van-Halen-striped, the Cloverfield Green, Greenglo, Aquaglo, Union-Jack-Glo, and whatever other color was not an official RIC color. So, to wrap it up, post "Wild Card" colors for the week of 18-24 May. This should be fun!

Does that include Photoshop jobs?
