Andrew,
Did you get my e-mail about the '60s horseshoe surround?

Hey Andrew, Alembic don't just make basses in dark woods, you can have anything you want; you can even supply your own timber. They would probably make you a bass the same shape as a Rick too, although you'd probably have to change the headstock at least; copyright and all that! They really will build you virtually anything; they're currently building an Alembic Thunderbird for a customer (same shape/woods as TBird, but 5 string, with Alembic headstock - Orion I think -quilt maple top and Alembic electronics). Although I figure if you want a Rick you're probably better getting a Rick....

BTW, cool pc Scott!

Yes, they truly are the custom kings Shaun. I could get them to build my own bass but at big $$$$ new. The depreciation on Alembics is huge and I'm looking all the time for a cool used model at what is really a bargain price for basses of this quality.
There was a cool purple SC a while back on E bay but it's short scale and that doesn't work for me. All in good time....

Nice Pix, Owen! What year is that Rick? How do you like the Ashdown? I'm sure you've already mentioned it here, but which head and speakers are you using?

Hey Jeff-

Its an '02, a color of the year burgundy

The Ashdown is great, just like a trace elliot but without the stoopid graphic EQ. Its really rugged and light and cheap.

My cabinets i built myself, each one contains a 15" Celestion BL15-150 and they are ported cabs that really throw the sound out.

Just got a couple of photos from a gig in March here in Toronto where I used the 4002... FYI, I play in The Eradicators a 3 piece surf/punk/garage/spaghetti-western style instrumental combo...

Why do I always have more chins in photos than I think I do...

Hey David - If you're "The Eradicators" where are you're ski masks?
Nice 4002! Where were you playing in Tranna?
