"Paul, if you have something in the works that you think is a treat, then I am sure looking forward to seeing it!"

Ain't that the truth!

Alan, what's so abominable about that bass? I think it looks pretty cool.

My daughter loves anything the color pink, and loves Hello Kitty.

Good thing she can't get on the computer and see the above bass!

I think a fair number of folks think it is too heavily modified - HipShot, non-standard re-fin color, rear pickup surround, black knurled metal knobs and thus I jokingly call it the Abomination©.

I defend it on the grounds that 1) it was a total basket case when I bought it and 2) I have a totally stock '77 (the SnotGlo™) to make up for it and 3) it's a player, not a museum piece and it has to be set up exactly the way I need it to be, so if that means chuck the stock parts that's what it means.

Alan, I fully agree with you. For me the sound and playability come first, then the "genuity".
However there is nothing like a fireglo skunker with toaster, CB and FWMOP!

Aw, crud. I fell out of the loop on this one awhile back. Well, for what it's worth at this point, here are some of my offerings from COW long since passed, starting with "custom colors:"

It's brass & chromed. The JG is the same with the letters painted black.

Welcome, Eddie.

Both of mine are entirely DIY.
