Woot, Scott!!!! Congratulations once again.
So, does anyone think we should update that list that was in the works twenty or thirty thread pages ago? Despite Gary's humorous miscount

, I know personally where ten of the DCMs are, but where are the others now? Some have changed hands, some have been up and down on eBay, and that list is not accurate anymore....
It would be interesting how many are still in the hands of devoted Forumites and will be staying there.....

Last time I looked, mine was still there.

Thanks Ray.
(I'm sure you are scandinavian, judging from your name!)

"AND, I still say we fire bomb Chicago Music excrement!"
+1 Ray!
Thanks for remembering the four of us Forum members that were cheated out of our 4003DCM's by the incompetent, rude thieves at the CME.
It is my hope that all of us here at the Forum continue to remember this incident(as well as all of the other mis-dealings we've all heard of here) long into the future and avoid doing business with them.
Their poor decision making ability has already cost them thousands in referral business from one of my close friends. And I personally had my eye on a new(non-Rick...Uh oh!) bass last time I was in there but I decided to see how my DCM transaction went before pulling the trigger on it. Glad I held off.
I went out of my way to do business with my local shop. I paid over $500 more than I would have paid had I called Sam Ash. And if I had called Sam Ash, I'd have a bass. NEVER AGAIN will I make that mistake.
Ted and I were at the 75th celebration in Santa Ana. We met the Halls and Paul Wilczynski(who made the TRC and pickguards for all of the 75th instruments). We inspected, admired, and handled the first DCM 4003. A DCM 4003 would have been the ultimate souvenir from a really great weekend.
We deserved better treatment from our dealer.
Rant over!

It sure would be nice if someone would hook Jeff and Ted up with some of those spare 4003's.
I feel for you, man. I know what a nice memento my 360 is. Don't worry, though, apparently CME hurt themselves more than they did you!

Jeff and Ted, just want to say that I feel for you as well. You did everything by the book and were stitched up. I hope that CME REALLY live to regret their sharp practice. Hope you find a DCM out there somewhere.

Well thanks, Jason. That's a very nice thought. But its okay. I have more Rick basses than I need and I'll survive. Same with Ted, I'm sure.
I wouldn't want to guilt anyone on the forum into selling their DCM 4003 to me. That would be very kind, but it would just transfer my misfortune to them.
And I do have my stunning first Ricky, bought when I was 15, newly restored (by Paul W) to keep me happy!
So I can't really mope around for too long!
I'd just like everyone to remember how the CME treats its customers.

Jeff, you can rant about it all you want, I'll listen. It was a raw deal you guys got.

Well,
In the long run, it's going to cost them a fair amount in lost business.
Screw us one, you screw us all!
Let's all make SURE we repay the favor by shopping somewhere else.

Thanks Jeff and Bob. I'm a big boy. I know life isn't fair. Glad to see that so many of you got your DCM's and are enjoying them. I don't want to make anyone here feel guilty. I don't want to be a downer either.
But I will try to remind this forum every now and then so that hopefully the same thing won't happen again to somebody else.

Thanks John and Tony.
I think we need a "Remember the Alamo" type battle cry!

Something like "Sh*T On CME!"
