brammy wrote:Good question! I've searched briefly and cant find mention of it. Apparently the Commer Van was a very popular vehicle for bands back in those days.
So was the Bedford.

A drizzly Wednesday in late September 1962
Liverpool Docks
Photographer: Les Chadwick
Photographer Peter Kaye: "We worked on principle, contrasting
their appearance in suits against drains and rubble. The group looked
neater than they really were. Toward the end of the session we finished
up on the Pier Head, against the Liver Building. Then we used the fire
salvage vessel, The Salvor."
Another account the locations as follows...
The first location was a derelict bonded warehouse. The location with the
car was a local beauty spot called 'The Bally' on the dock road. After this
they went onto to the Albert dock and had photos taken in front of and
on board 'The Salvor'. Then they had the famous photo taken of them in
front of the Liver building.
------------------------------------------------- Is it just me?,,,,,doesn't George look like he was in a bad mood that day?

An essay written by Paul McCartney as a 10-year-old has been found after lying undiscovered
in Liverpool's Central Library for more than 50 years.

Love that shot of the 360/12NS.
In the "Live at Japan" shows, it always looked more Autumnglo than fireglo, to me. In the above photo, it looks like FG
