Thanks Mike. It was a lot of fun. I will admit that my wife was supportive of me getting it, but she was relieved I didn't win. You gotta love her. Anyway, it was good talking to you about it. Let me know if you ever come across one. You know I'm game. All the best to you as well.

Mike, drop me an email and fill me in if you have an opportunity. You can call me at my office tomorrow if you still have the number.
Thanks again.
Scott, I look forward to seeing what you may have.

Wow! I just went to sleep last night. Couldn't bear to watch the end. My feeling was it was going in the $12000 range and you could just feel the tension.
As far as the dealer who bought it,this is a storied bass. He can use it for publicity, or probably turn it over at an unreal price.
In Sam Ash in Westbury, NY there is a guy who has a vintage guitar concession. He regularly gets obcene prices for vintage instruments. He'd easily price this at 20K without blinking.
Guess we won't see it at the confluence. Somebody call Michael Anthony and ask him to bring his.

" It's not where you are, it's who you're with.".
Talked to Craig Brody this morning and he is currently keeping the 1957 Ric 4000. He has no other Ric. He had a 1961 4000 FG that I wanted in near mint condition but sold it. Bummer! I wanted a shot at it. I will see him at the Dallas Show this weekend. Anyone else here going to be there?
Leprosy is rare & scarce but nobody wants that!
