Wow, wish I was there!

The confluence has concluded. It was a great experience. I just got my Rickenbabies home.
It was a pleasure to meet the great people that I would not have met if it were not for the confluence and the many great Rickenbacker instruments that I have never had the opportunity to see, hear or play.

I will post more pictures a little later after I resize them. I have to cool off first. Gary and I carried many guitars, basses and amps from the hotel and then to where he works, then mine to home...and it was a hot one here today!

I love Dane's double neck 3000 bass ...

One thing to notice about that 1/2 guitar -- the finish.

This was a 366/12. I still have the base plate (plastic and metal) where the comb went. It was on the guitar when I bought it. You can see where it was, right up against the neck pickup.

Look at the difference in color. Amazing how much pink you see in there... just like a brand new finish from today. If that doesn't definitively show that the fresh-from-the-factory color of Fireglo has not changed, then nothing will.

Kevin, how'd you come across this cool relic?

I've had it for quite a while. It was at my favorite repair shop (I don't know how it got there) probably over a decade ago. I think I paid $100 for it. I used to hang it on the wall as art, and will probably do so again in the future.

It was the first time I played any of the Fs (I also played a 345F MG from 1960 - very cool vibe on that one!). Nice guitars, very special feel to them.

I will post some other factory tour pics in this thread later today.
