no, there was a book tony bacon put out in the late 90s. here it is:
http://www.amazon.com/Rickenbacker-Book ... 0879303298
towards the end it had a pic of a 60s rick with an "green apple" finish. i haven't been able to find it anywhere on the net. and i spent a good day looking for it on this site. i had my heart set on cloning it...
it wasn't modern, and the new green burst has too much black. the one i'm thinking of was pale white yellow to light green on the outside.

Oops. Sorry. I didn't mean to confuse the two different finishes. I really like that one off turquoise Burst. I think it was also referred to as "Ocean Turquoise-Glo", unless I'm mistaking that for yet another similar finish. I really like the Turquoise burst. Thanks for the pics. Aquaglo is also quite gorgeous.

Dain, a couple of the apple-green-burst Ricks you are thinking about (one shown in the Bacon/Day book) belong to Jeff Benske at Top Shelf Guitars in Milwaukee. Go here and click on "our collection":

Actually, the one shown in the Bacon/Day book was a '71 360 OS and owned by Albert Molinaro.
