Ahem. Irish. Now i feel better. I've spent 15 minutes desperately looking for "meirgeach" in English-Russian dictionary...Image
And looks like i've missed that October thread...

There was a thread about unusual places members had played last October. I posted that I liked to play in the bathroom because of the acoustics. Several others agreed that it was a great place. Melissa thought I was kidding (of course everyone was in stitches already) and then Howard posted his wonderful calendar pic.

Further developments include the "mission" to write "Jammin' in the Can". A mission still in progress, hopefully to be presented at the Canadian Mini-Confluence in September.

And the flurry of 'Can' photos, posts and funnies rolls on. Very impressive actually, the enduring nature of toilet humour.

See what you are in for Niall? It's way too much fun.

Subh Sna na leithreas (jam in the toilet)

No problem, i like learning new words, but truthfully speaking, the only word in Irish i knew before the moment, was "hoigh", if i'm not mistaken with the spelling.
And as far as "leithreas" is concerned - there's not enough place there to jam in, i'm afraid. Image

Oops. Sorry. The Irish-Russian & Russian-Irish dictionary which i bought as a present for a friend, listed it as simply "hi". Image

"Dia dhuit "is Hello in Irish,
"Conas tann tu" how are you.
Dump the book

Hm. I cannot dump it. I've already offered it to a happy new owner. Image
BTW, Irish for "hello" sounds (or may be read as) a bit like - hm - a bad word in Russian. As well as Dutch for "Good morning".

Second word is pronounced like ditch.
Whats the bad word?

In that case, none. But don't ever try to say "peace, door and ball", with "and" omitted from the phrase, in front of a Russian - he/she might not understand you or will be offended! Image
BTW, back to the topic... any new pics of the "baby"? (i mean guitar)
