How are you guys getting confirmed orders? I called my order into my local shop the day after the announcement and he's been bugging Ric every day without any definite word if I'm in for a 4003. As far as deposits go, that's not an issue since I can write a check for the full purchase price right now. I'm just curious as how some folks already have confirmed orders when I don't have a definite word yet.
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

My guy didn't even know about them. I called him on Friday - he took my order - He called RIC - they confirmed - he called me back - I'm smiling Image see!

I'm sure there where dealers that ordered them and received confirmations and then people started to call and got lucky.

I know and trust Scott Silver at CME. If he tells me the order is placed I will take him at his word.

Ron, if the dealer doesn't know if he has an order, I'm willing to bet he doesn't. Rudy's Music in NYC told me he thought they ordered, then he called Ric.

Rickenbacker said they had to be ordered starting 8AM Pacific time yesterday. Pretty fair the way they did it if you ask me.

I, like JC, am awaiting news from the music store here sometimes next tuesday and if this same store ordered it properly, we will be the only two to have the 4003 dear ami :-)

Part of Yes, anyway. The most important part, I may add.

Congrats Ted and Stephane!

I was informed that Rhoads Music had all the 4003s spoken for but nobody seemed interested in any of the guitar models. As much as I loved playing the AV4003, I really have enough RIC basses for now (really? Hmm) So a guitar was a perfect choice.

Proof that I played it:

It is always good to see it again. Image It is a good thing my wife attended the 75th celebration otherwise she would not have let me buy the anniversary bass.

Ted, maybe you'll want to take your wife to Santa Ana again next summer!

Did anyone call (sorry) Roman for a bass yet?

I'm sure he got 2 of everything.
