Thanks, Joey! I was wondering who that was who seemed to be enjoying my guitar for much of the night--I didn't recognize him. I was glad to see my guitar getting used so much during the jam; it made me happy to see my 325 getting a workout, and it sounded great. Image

Yes Jerry, that was me hoggin` the 1997 RI. Sorry about the drool That I might have gotten on it. That was an awesome guitar. Thank You for letting me have the privilege of loosening some of the rust out of my fingers on it.

Hey, folks:

It's finished...the only thing really holding it up was the tuners...I had a bunch of sets on order and they took awhile to get in.

Once the tuners were in place, and the Tusq compensated saddle was machined, the nut cleaned up, and the proper strap bolt was installed, and the...well, you get the picture.

This guitar reminds me of my old Sunbeam Alpine 3.0L supercharged V6, in the sense that once it was completed, there was not a part that hadn't been tweaked, massaged, or upgraded.

It plays beautifully--it has that Rick electric-like feel; altogether different from my FG730L/12. The LRBaggs pickup really cuts, too.

Now I'm waiting for the cases for this and the next acoustic to arrive. As soon as they get here, it'll go to it's owner. I am going to miss it!

Oh Paul!

That has got to be about the most beautiful acoustic guitar I have ever laid my eyes upon, and I am not kidding.... WOW! Your custom gold guard is absolutely stunning with the Aquaglo color, and the checkerbound headstock is breathtaking....

Oh, how I will be dreaming.... That is truly amazing. Beyond words! Image

Beautiful, Paul! The headstock is an absolute classic.

I'd be interested to know where you took the pics.... IIRC you don't have steel carpet at home! Image

Paul, that is absolutely staggering. I'm sure it looks much bluer on my monitor than in real life, particularly in the headstock pictures (would you say in reality it's greener?), but the colour as I'm seeing it is breathtaking, almost like a particularly subtle and exquisite Blueburst. And the bound headstock is unbelievable......

Hmmm. If you could match how those headstock pictures look (which may not be as they really are), I think that would be the finish I would want on my 4 to 8, when it finally becomes reality.

Breathtaking. If I had a glass of wine to hand I'd raise it in a toast!

Shaun, in reality it is a bit greener, just enough to move it away from that odd cobalt shade that digital imaging gives it.

And I could match how the headstock pics look, but then the pictures of the match would look even bluer...gosh, I'm getting confused--at what point does the blue start shifting to purple in pics, I wonder...haven't tried that yet!

Anyway, I'll be sending color chips long before we get started on anything.
