Yearly Color/finishes - Love or hate?

I wonder how a Silverglo of some sort would look. I would prefer a light silver, sort of what is called 'titanium' in the general vernacular (I've used pressure vessels made of titanium alloy, and their color was dark grey). I've seen a couple of cars in this light, whitish silver color; maybe it's like Toyota's Lunar Mist Metallic:

I think a black-to-silver burst might look nice.

I believe our landlord/keeper Mr. McCormack has a silver 4003. A photo of this very snazzy baby is posted around here somewhere.

Hey Jerry, turquoise is my favorite Ric color and the 660/12 is the only production Ric guitar which I'd consider buying; if not too much trouble, would you please post a picture? Thanks.

Owen, the Silver finish of the 1980s is a bit darker than what I would like in a 'Silverglo'. Here's a picture of me with my April 1987 320 Silver:

I can't seem to post pics here, they're too large, whatever that involves. Maybe I'll get it figured out. the music connection.com has one like mine on pg 2 of the sold rics.

Why you're feelings about the 660/12? BTW, the 660/12 is a small bodied guitar, and playing in front of the mirror last night (am I the only one?) made me want to lose weight!

The neck is perfectly wide, as a whole the guitar is reasonably ergonomic. I would like to see a master volume ala Grestch(complaints already!).

I still might go with a lighter set of strings, as I don't plan to play in a normal style. Also, I'd like to reverse the strings, skinny on top. Is that do-able, anyone?

I bought without trying! Rehearsal Saturday will be a good'un. Of course I did what every first time ric 12 buyer does, the HDN opening chord and the MTM opening lick, as well as selected Byrds and Beatle dittys.

2 CG's near me have a slew (comparatively) of ric's (no basses!), and I've played 3 different 350 V/Hamburgs and V/63's. They are small but managable. What makes em so expensive though?

Thanks, Jerry, I'll check the music connection for my daily dose of Ric envy. My attraction to the 660/12 over the other Ric twelve strings is based primarily on neck width. I don't have a Ric dealer nearby, so I don't have the (theoretical) option of actually trying any of these before buying. However, what I read here, on Harmony Central, and other places (I particularly enjoy Dave Gregory's comments about his Rics here http://www.guitargonauts.com/index-frames.html)leads me to suspect that the necks of the other models would be too narrow. My actual preference would be to have one of Peter McCormack's imaginary 330/12 Millennium Editions with the 1-3/4" neck, vintage pick ups, etc.

I might have a mirror issue with the 660 also, I'm 6'-3" and 240 regrettable pounds.

Kinda ironic that that the smallest guitars have the biggest necks, isn;t it?
