Who are the Virenamese? Is that one of those tiny Pacific Islands like Tonga?

I could either tell you that that's how they pronounce it, or go looking for spell-check...It's not a panacea, but does spot the obvious/oblivious clunkers...

OK, here's a nice one...anyone wandering through the "luthier" categories on Ebay will recognize the name. This guy Antonio Tsai sells a s**tload of inlaid parts and also inlaid handbuilt instruments...he's somewhere in the Far East, though.

This one is in our own backyard (SC)...note the headstock...

I wonder if the Roy Rogers photo comes with it?

It will probably sound like ****. I did not buy this one to play, though. I just bought it to get a close look at Tsai inlay work, that's all

The text of the listing doesn't even match the photo OR the listing title! What an ugly guitar. I bought that teardrop thing for $100 just to see the neck inlay up close, not to play it. But this one would hurt just to look at up close - what is with the heel anyway?

Elys, YOU bought that spermy-teardrop thingy? I actually put an esnipe bid on it, then pulled it the last minute.

I didn't think it would sound very good, and to me it wasn't worth $130.00 to check out my own intuition.

Would make a nice part of "oddities" collection (wall design, etc), and besides, much cheaper than our old "friend" MVP's (or was it MPV?) work. Still, i hope it will sound better than you think.

Yep - there is a place on the Group W Bench wall-of-shame already set aside for it, right next to the Paul Wilczynski Memorial Beach Boys Guitar with custom groovy black vinyl pickguard (a personal recommendation of Paul Wilczynski Himself IIRC)
