I am sure that there will be an update soon. Gino's work can take him away from things for a couple days, but I'm sure he'll chime in soon.
This thread used to be in the Rickenbacker Guitars forum, and is now located here, of course... so that may have confused a few people.
At any rate, I had the TIs installed on my C63 two weeks ago in San Diego, and they sound fantastic. I am extremely pleased with the sound I'm getting on Beatles/Byrds/Who songs. Even the later stuff, such as Tom Petty material, (which I was worried about, given the fact that those songs are likely rounds) sounds great.
These gauges intonate very well, and they're staying in tune. They also feel great, as you'd expect from the TIs.
Karl was right, this set increases the 'presence' of the octave strings and creates a new balance overall. 'I Call Your Name' for instance, sounds spot on with flats.

Gino contacted me several months ago via the forum. I was told I had a couple sets reserved. I did pass up on the "TI list" as I am cool with ordering singles through Just Strings whenever I need them.
I understand the custom sets Gino is working on will be a special price. I personally do not know Gino except for here on the forum. My guess is he is still waiting for TI to deliver.
