That would be the Hall families decision, at this time I have 14 Ricks in my shop undergoing major restorations, they are all vintage late 50's thru 60's. I have a 1965 330 body that a fellow bought off Ebay that is being turned into a 360/12OS like Harrisons. The original neck was broken and some one cut it off at the heel, so this was a perfect donor for this project. New 12 string neck with CP inlays, DBL. binding on the body and finished with AFG. It will be at the MARF if anyone is going you can see it there.

Can you imagine seeing Dale in the RIC Custom Shop working next to Paul in the Acoustic Dept.....
I could see myself living on rice and beans because my entire paycheck went straight to Santa Ana!

Bottom line if I understand correctly, you are not finishing acoustics for Rickenbacker, you will only be building them, to their specs.
So I guess when my acoustic is ready, the TRC will not say Wilczynski-backer

Marc, there's not enough room on the TRC.

I think there's some confusion over the meaning of "finishing". Some people take it to mean "painting", others, "completing", in this context.
I am doing both. First completing (out of raw wood, parts and subassemblies that I got as part of my agreement with RIC) and then painting, varnishing, buffing, setting up, etc..

Dale, I noticed a single truss rod on that neck. Can you install a pair of RIC truss rods if greater authenticity is desired?

I could, but i don't. If I did then it would be to close to the real thing and i wouldn't want to do that. So down the road in the future when someone see's the single T-rod and my name with date inside the cavity, they will know this was a major repair....
