Oh, yeah, Adam. Two favorites!!!

I like the sound I get from the Carr Vincent. It has a great jangle tone that really rings. It has a really deep reverb, and the tone controls offer quite a bit of versatility.

Used "blond" Crate Vintage Club 50w 2 X12 Combo. Great clean channel, nice overdrive as well, separate reverb on both channels. Recently tune up and re-tube by local Crate certified tech.
4 EL84, 4 12 AX7s. Clean channel brings out rich mid highs on my 94' 360 12 w/12ks in "middle" position. Overdrive on bridge PU is very pure early Brit tone. Nice range from "The Waiting" to
"Crossroads" tone. This is one case where the high marks on Harmonycentral pan out. This all tube amp seems very well matched to bring out what the 12ks have to offer.

I use a number of different amps, depending on the tone I want. I've used everything from my vintage '65 Marshall JTM 45, old Vox AC 30's and AC10's, as well as blackface Fender Deluxe Reverbs and Super Reverbs. They also sound good through solid state Voxes like the Defiant and Super Beatle. So it just depends. I play my vintage capri (my avatar pic) through my Marshall plexi on "10". The pickups are not microphonic at all. I love that tone, it's the best combination of distortion, dirt, and clarity. Does not sound like a "traditional" jangly and clean Ric. Plus, when I angle the guitar the right way at the amp, it's almost like having a sustainer, the notes just sustain forever.....I prefer my vintage Rics for tone and playability in general.

Oh, I also forgot. I also use a Peavey 5150 II for super distortion tones. The ric sounds amazing good through that amp. Plenty of dirt and filth, but clarity at the same time. And it does not sound "tinny" like a Fender, the old wood and toasters sound very full, but still retain a single coil clarity.
