In the hands of unskilled hacks, they're a luthier's worst nightmare.
Or your best dream, depending on how much you charge per "nightmare". ;)
That sort of thinking would get me branded as a "cynic", Scott...

S5 bridge pickups had a different shaped bobbin than a standard 4-string pickup. I don't know that they wouldn't fit, just that they were a different shape and very similar to a horseshoe bobbin.

The duct tape is to repair what you have removed too much of with the dremel....

I have a dremel too, there built to last and seem to be the most used tool in my larder...

Hey there
I'm the guy who makes these. I don't want to get this thread locked by promoting something I sell so I hope I'm not breaking any rules by simply replying.
I have noticed in the pictures that it doesn't seem like the bezels are pushed up all the way flush in the factory chrome surround. They are designed to fit snug when they are all the way up. Hope that makes sense. Also,I do ship the europe, Australia,Canada, etc... There is no 10 order min., I will ship single orders. I use USPS first class mail so it's not expensive.
I hope I didn't break any rules replying but I felt I needed to clear some things up and I wanted to make sure these are installed as designed.
Thanks for the support. I'm glad you guys are digging these.
Frank

Hey Frank, welcome to the RRF, glad you made it over from the RIC site! I don't think your replying really constitutes promoting, just a bit of clarification. I'm sure lots of people will have questions or suggestions about this (if you've read this thread, you know there are already a few) and having you here will make that easier.

I'd like to know how thick the insert is, especially in the area above the lower pickup mounting screw.
