And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Can't deny it. Jai guru dev. (I think.)

Now, when we gonna start in on Phil?

How 'bout this:

Thematically, he's the male equivalent of Janis Joplin:

Always gripin' about something.

There the similarity ends...Janis could acoustically shout down a hydrogen bomb...

Phil needs 100,000 watts of power to be heard above the crowd murmur...

Great drummer, though...byoo'ifull plumage...

Is Phil on the Disney payrole or something?
I think he does the soundtrack to every flick they put out.

I thought we were talking about a bass? Anyway for all you guys not showing Paul the love just remember Lennon wrote some **** too! He would be the first to admit it. He claims plenty of throw aways during the Beatles days.

Sorry, I meant Phil, not John...maybe we'd better start a new thread.

I'd be proud to have written any of Lennon's throwaways, I think his standards may have been just a tad bit higher than McCartneys. He wrote some songs that were decidedly non-commercial and turned some people off and Yokos screaming didn't do anything (understatement) for some of his stuff, but I have never heard a calculated attempt to appease the masses from Lennon unlike Mac.

Brian, we buried Paul peacefully and respectfully. The few previous posts are about Phil Collins...

Yes, but like a dog returning to his chunder...

JJ, I got another equation for you...just to prove to the younger members that the same answer can be achieved by different means (therein lies the beauty of mathematics)...

Michael Jackson minus Quincy Jones equals Leo Sayer...

It's too bad that Leo never hooked up with Lennon or Quincy...we mighta gotten another Sgt. Pepper's outta the deal....or at least another Thriller...but one thing's for sure:

Paul McCartney plus Michael Jackson equals (Leo Sayer)"squared"...
