I had the 1x18 cab and I ran the high end into a 1x15 cab ...
these days I use my own custom made cabs with an Ampeg b2r head and a bass pod and then mike it into a big pa with folded horn 18 subs and 3000 watts of power ... these rigs can be daisy chained together as slave amps for more power and sound ...
hey this thread is about pics of us playing bass ... here's me before I got my Ric ...

Hey Jeff, wasn't that your grandson playing at woodstock?
Is that 360 setting supposed to emulate the complete setup or just the head? I always found 360's with the folded horn cab kind of muffled sounding. Although I have to admit I had very limited exposure with them, (actually only one time.)

Hey Jeff, is that Hofner a 5-string conversion?

Actually I used to live in Woodstock ... Woodstock Illinois that is ...
The pod amp360 setting models the head with the cab ... then I use the rodent setting for distortion and model the Sunn 8028 cab ... it was a 12 and 18 cabinet ...
and yes it is scary ... but I did consider modding a hofner style bass into a 5 string ... ya I know ... it is a disease ... turn the 4 string bass into a 5 ... but ever since I got my first 4003s5 I've been hooked ...

I gotta learn how to crop but here goes:
Me and my original 1979 4001 in beautiful jetglo. This is from 1980 at a Brooklyn night club called Zappa's. The club, who at that time hosted some of the biggest acts in the world before they became famous(Madonna,REM and Bon Jovi to name a few) is having a reunion show tonight that I could not attend.

Jaymi, you used to use (8) 15's? In addition to making your Ric sound huge they must have made it look tiny. I wonder what those would have sounded like with a couple of SVT heads? huh?

I had SVT heads at one time. Believe me, NO ONE could touch me for the amount of air I was moving. We played one time on a flatbed truck and People came from a good distance away saying that they could hear bass. It was fun....

In the old days you could tell when the bassplayer had a good amp in a club, it was the first thing you heard as you pulled into the parking lot, haha! I used a Marshall Major 200 watt head with two Sunn 2000S cabs at one time (which were the biggest double 15 cabs they made, had JBL D-140s in them), and those moved a lot of air, I can't imagine 8 15's.
