Thanks to Peter for posting these pics. I literally just came across them the last couple of days. I knew I had them but no idea where. Wish I had just "misplaced" that Jetglo 4001.
It's hard to believe that first pic was 22 years ago.

Jeffrey,
I like the look of that Hipshot bridge you have on your fretless. How much of a difference does it make? Did you have to do any mods? How long have you had it on there and what's your opinion of it?? knowing the propencity of the stock bridges to lift, and I use the fairly higher tension Pyramid flats, I might consider one of these if it's worth it. Plus, I think it looks cool, too.

I got the Hipshot bridge a couple of weeks ago. It drops right in with no mods at all, but I couldn't really tell if there is a change in sound as it is on my fretless and would not be representative of a fretted bass. The 4003FL does sound great for what I am looking to get out of it; I think it will sound very similar to the stock bridge however, plus it is very strong so no tail lifting from this. Not having the mute superstructure is quite nice, although it does take a bit of getting used to visually!

What happened, Ronn? Wasn't that your non-cover project? I wish I had something like that on the side!

Yep. Things were looking good for the band, a song used on an episode of a national TV show, some good reviews of the latest CD, especially in some European publications, and a song on a recent UK sampler. For a "Little Ol' Band from Texas" that's not too bad. But...
After we expanded to a 4-piece about a year ago, by adding another guitarist, I had to change my style a bit(I wasn't forced, the change was my idea),tone things back a bit as there was less sonic space to fill. At first I tried keeping things the same but the new guitarist and I were stepping on each other's toes. I think they'll do just fine with a more traditional bassist, my style is sort of a cross between John Entwistle and Peter Hook.
The wife and I are house hunting, when we get settled in I'll start looking for people to start up with again.
