Hey Brian, what did the crowd think of the Lemmy? Looks great BTW.

Anybody who mentioned it said it sounded/looked great. Plenty of the comments were along the lines of "I can't believe you finally got it"....since my band has a large core of regulars most of the ones I chat with know about my long saga.
Thanks BTW

It your main stage bass Brian?
It would be funny if you got famous with someone elses signature bass. The guy from The Killers comes to mind. He uses a Geddy Lee jazz. Would've been cooler if it was a Geddy Lee Wal though. I think Ted Nugent's bassist uses a Geddy jazz too.

Think of all the guitar players who got famous with a Les Paul!

2. Slash
3. Joe Perry
4. Jimmy Page
5. Zakk Wylde
6. Bob Marley
7. Eric Clapton

I don't think I'd include George Harrison in "guitar players who got famous with a Les Paul!"

Speaking of playing "other people's" guitars, am I wrong to be considering getting a plain white replacement pickguard for my CS?

I would, just to keep the original nice.

It's been a long time since he's played anything like a straight-ahead electric guitar, but also on the Les Paul list: Robert Fripp.
Oh yeah, and Gary Green from Gentle Giant. And Steve Hackett.
Okay, back to the Ricks...

Here I am at our Open Air Market gig this past Saturday afternoon. Brian Crisman showed up for a while to see if I really do play out with my vintage basses! And whether I can really play at all.
