I have seen pics of covers that look like a horseshoe with the split in the middle.Does anyone know where they might be available?
I have just joined the club and after dealing with the gas for many years have finally got a Ric. A gorgeous fireglow 4001.

Morrow..
I assume that's the one with the brass pickguard on the Dudepit?
It's a stunner...what year is it?
Post some pics...they'll love that bass here...especially Jim Glen...

hello...I have wanted to have a Ric for a long time and one finally came my way.She came with a brass guard but I will probably go back to the standard white.I will put a cover on and am interested in the ones that look like the horseshoe pickup.
she plays like a dream and sounds gorgeous.I put on a fresh set of TI flats...I am more into the whump than the clank. I may try the cap bypass too.
I have always loved the look of the older fireglows
edit....I keep getting my image returned but I will gert it figured out later. It's the one I posted in the dudepit. It's a '80 fireglow 4001

Welcome Morrow! That pickguard looks really great, I would keep it and add vintage knobs. I see you are a photographer, do you you shoot any black and white? I run Labwork - The Black & White Lab in Cleveland, Ohio. Check us out at

I still have a darkroom but must confess that I haven't been doing much playing in the chemicals for the last couple of years.
I grew up doing black and white and used to be a bit of a fanatic.
It's all in front of the box now
