Another reason to dislike the classic bridge/tailpiece: it's not adjustable!

"It has what is called a Badass bridge. I asked the music shop where I bought it about this and they said that the original Rickenbacker bridges didn't allow you to adjust the action and this was a common thing musicians did to their Rickenbackers in the 70's."

Hunh; I've been adjusting the action on my 1976 3001 for almost 30 years. I must have some one-of-a-kind adjustable Rickenbacker bridge!

Looks like Kenny has already put in his bid on this bass, probably because the action is now adjustable!

I would be afraid of what you might find under that pickgaurd.

Is that a 4001? Looks like a 4002 pick guard...

Not familiar enough with the 4002's to say the PU looks like such, but the bridge PU looks odd.

I e-mailed hunglikeagnat (what a name) and told him not to believe everything salesman tell you in music stores, haha!

oh. well it still has that bridge. About 10 years ago I tried to order a Rickenbacker Bridge from guitar center. They dsaid they could do it and then jerked me around for about 3 months until I gave up.
