Irreversible routing too by the look of those pickups...this would require some block inlays to be put back to stock and then probably a refin too..Image

We have "Rickenfakers" in our lingo, is this one a "Rickenfender" ?

Fenderbacker has been used to describe that too. I saw a picture of a 4005 neck in a jazz bass body. The builder called it a Fenderbacker. I have a Lakland Osborne body with a Fender neck. I call it a Fakeland.

I think "Frickenbacker" would be a more inclusive term for these.

That Jazz Bass with the 4005 neck was built by and is still owned by Steve Azola.

Thats what somebody did to my 67 at one point added p-bass pickups the treble surround on mine hides this ,i also had maple fillers added to fill the routes.

As much as I hate mods.. didn't (one of my favorite basses) The Great White have a DiMarzio P treble pickup?

I'll post some pics of the 67 body I have Ken. You have to see it to believe it...The body is so light now, there are probably heavier acoustics!
