I'm still a little confused. I own a 2000 model 360/12v64 in fireglo. I read the specs on the new "C" series version of the guitar. What is the difference? I know the finish may be a little different, but aside from the model #, is there anything else? Electronics? Type of wood?

Perhaps the single most noticeable difference is the fingerboard inlay. George's guitar had what had been termed the "linoleum inlay", a grayish-white material.

There are also subtle differences in the body and head contour, the nameplate, keywinds, and bridge.

The pickups are somewhat different as well, along with some other screw hardware detail.

Joh: Would you please describe the differences in the pickups between the V series and the C series. Is the winding on the C Series similar to the scatterwounds?

The windings are identical. The bobbins are not and have the requisite "dimples". There's also long and short magnet versions, which have also necessitated different back plates. The cover screws are also slightly different.
