I know it isn't longer with walnut wings and the body doesn't have checkerboard binding dam.I think it looks cool with black hardware in all,i dont know how rare it is.

Baby headstock with Walnut skunk is the best-looking headstock out there.

I was going to ask the same thing, headstock looks normal to me and it's not a big one, they didn't start those again until maybe 1997-98. I like the big ones actually, the new 4003's are great basses.
That bass has white trim anyway, it's like a normal jetglo with black pickguard and TRC probably, I can't see the neck.

...and black hardware. I thought that option was long gone by 2001? Is this something that this seller put together?

That headstock isn't a baby one, it's a full-size...

I think 2002 was the last year of black trim. That gorgeous Mapleglo I sold to Jeff Rath is an '02 IIRC.

I prefer the newer big headstocks. For years I would only consider a 4004 or a v63 because I thought the smaller headstocks were an hideous. The design is so artful, but the smaller heads look like someone with no sense of aesthetics just chopped off a bunch of wood.
I was relieved when the newer big 4003 heads appeared in the late 90's, but bummed that the longer v63 heads became uniform with the 4003 heads.

Baby headstocks look a trifle weird without a skunk, granted - but I wouldn't go that far as to not owning the rest of the bass.... man, you've missed out.
